Solvents

Solvents

In chemistry, solvents – which are generally in liquid form – are used to dissolve, suspend or extract other materials, usually without chemically changing either the solvents or the other materials.

Many different solvents are used in a wide variety of everyday product applications – from paint, personal care products and pharmaceuticals, to pesticides, cleaners and inks. Without solvents, many products we rely on would not perform as well.

Dichloromethane (DCM)

Dichloromethane (DCM or methylene chloride) is an organochlorine compound with the formula CH2Cl2. This colorless, volatile liquid with a moderately sweet aroma is widely used as a solvent. Although it is not miscible with water, it is polar, and miscible with many organic solvents.

Cyclohexanone

Cyclohexanone: Colorless transparent liquid, commonly used as one of the important organic chemical raw materials, is the main intermediate for the manufacture of nylon, caprolactam and adipic acid, is also an important industrial solvent.

2-Butoxyethyl acetate

2-Butoxyethanol acetate is an ester solvent with excellent performance. It is mainly used as a solvent for metal and furniture spray paint, and also used as a solvent for protective coatings, dyes, resins, leather, ink, and also used in the formulation of surface cleaners for metal and glass, etc. It can also be used as a chemical reagent.

Dibasic Ester (DBE)

Dibasic ester (DBE), which is a mixture of three dibasic esters. Its main components are dimethyl succinate, dimethyl glutarate and dimethyl adipate. dBE is a non-toxic, colorless and transparent liquid with a faint aromatic odor and is environmentally friendly and biodegradable.

PC

Propylene Carbonate (PC) can be widely used as a solvent for taking off decarbonation in petrogas, oil filed gas, petroleum pyrolysis gas as well as feed gas of synthetic ammonia.

Dipropylene Glycol Methyl Ether

Dipropylene Glycol Methyl Ether is used as solvent for PVC stabilizer, nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose, polyvinyl acetate, solvent for paint and dyestuff, and an ingredient of brake fluid. It can be used as solvent of printing ink, enamel paint, cutting fluid and operating oil.

Diethylene glycol butyl ether (DGME)

Diethylene glycol butyl ether (DGME) is mainly used as stabilizer for PVC and widely used as cleaning agent for electronic chemicals, also used as solvent for paint, printing ink, printing desk ink for stamp, oil, resin, etc. It can also be used as metal detergent, paint stripper, dry cleaning solvent, epoxy resin solvent, etc.
